Professional Development

The FLARE project team held summer institutes in the three pilot school districts to create, refine, and implement its professional development offerings. As a result of the summer institutes, the following five Professional Development Modules are being developed:

  1. an introduction to formative assessment,
  2. an introduction to the Language Learning Progressions,
  3. an introduction to academic language,
  4. creating formative assessment tools and providing feedback, and
  5. providing formative feedback.

Each of the modules will be available both in hard copy and online.
